Company History

1891

The words “Teck Heng Yoo” which have been well known among Thai people for a long time, form Osotspa’s original name. Teck Heng Yoo was a small pharmacy located in the Sampeng area of Bangkok. The pharmacy was founded by Mr. Pae, who sold an ancient Chinese medicine called "Krisnaklan Trakilane" that effectively cured stomach aches and diarrhea.

"Krisnaklan Trakilane" was provided to His Majesty King Vajiravudh,Rama VI, to help clear up diarrhea in his Thai army units known as the

"Wild Tiger Corps" during military exercises in Nakhon Pathom.

1931

Krisnaklan Trakilane’s effectiveness contributed to the success and growing reputation of “Teck Heng Yoo” Pharmacy.

This was evident in the advice of His Majesty King Vajiravudh, Rama VI, to use the medicine to help clear up dysentery, which was written in the royal book of “Sickness Prevention”

In addition, His Majesty King Vajiravudh kindly gave Mr. Pae the wild tiger army honor medal and the prosperous surname “Osathanugrah”

1932

The “Teck Heng Yoo” Pharmacy relocated to Charoenkrung Road in Bangkok and changed its name to “Teck Heng Yoo Drugstore.”

At this time, in addition to well-known Krisnaklan Trakilane, other common medications were produced. Many remain well known today, such as a stomach ache mixture, cough syrup, One-One pastilles, Botan pastilles, and Tunjai brand aspirin.

1949

“Teck Heng Yoo Drugstore” expanded production to a factory in Bangkok’s Soi Lang Suan, with modern machines introduced to support an increase in production.

For the company’s registration, the company name was changed to Osotspa "Teck Heng Yoo" Company Limited on 23 May 1949.

1959

Starting as a small pharmacy in Sampeng, the company’s rapid growth was a source of pride for the Osathanugrah family and the company’s employees.

His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX conferred the Royal Garuda emblem to the company, now called Osotspa “Teck Heng Yoo” Company Limited, on 13 October 1959.

1974

The company expanded its business into product development. The office on Charoenkrung Road and the Soi Lang Suan factory relocated to a property of over 28 acres on Ramkhamhaeng Road in the Hua Mak Sub-District of Bangkok’s Bangkapi District.

1995

The company changed its name to “Osotspa Company Limited”

2011

Osotspa’s 120th Anniversary.

2018

Osotspa became a publicly listed company on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and started trading on 17 October 2018.
