M-150 to empower and support Thai football by kicking-off the “M-150 Cup 2017” Tournament

The event, featuring six teams including host Thailand, plus Japan, Uzbekistan, North Korea, Vietnam, and Myanmar, will take place from December 9 to 15, 2017, in Buriram province.

The objective for the event is to improve the performance and efficiency of the football players on the six participating teams while giving them a chance to experience an international competition to prepare them for even bigger matches in the future. The event will no doubt delight football fans at the end of the year.

Somyot Poompanmoung, President of the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), said, “The first ‘M-150 Cup 2017’ tournament will be the last competitive event in which the Thai National Football Team will play against other teams before the end of 2017. As hosts, the Football Association of Thailand invited another five teams including Japan, Uzbekistan, DPR Korea, Vietnam, and Myanmar to compete against Thailand’s national team. Together, we are Asia’s leading football teams with strong players and admirable techniques.

“This tournament will help prepare our young national squad, also known as the new ‘Chang-Suek,’ as they recently won the championship at the 29th SEA Games 2017, becoming a real hope for success on the global stage. Personally, I’m very confident seeing this team perform better and better under the management of new head coachZoran Jankovic and assistant coach Worawut Srimakha. They joined together to lead the team in the ‘M-150 Cup 2017’ tournament, before going on to compete against other teams at the Asia Championships Cup that will take place at the beginning of 2018 in China,” said Pol. Tickets for the M-150 Cup 2017 tournament are now available at 7-Eleven stores nationwide and can also be purchased at the box office in front of I-Mobile Stadium on game days from December 9 to 15, 2017. The ticket price is 100 baht for two matches. M-150 is offering a special promotion for buyers of M-150 and M-150 Storm Energy Drinks, who can exchange their 7-Eleven receipt for the drinks for a ticket at a reduced price of only 25 baht.

M-150 will also kick off a free “M-150 Power Concert” with a power line-up of Thai rock bands including Potato, Bankk Cash, Retrospect, and SDF, to entertain football fans following the final match of the tournament on December 15, 2017. Additionally, the “M-150 Festival” will be held in front of the I-Mobile Stadium to entertain fans with activities before the final match begins, and will include a variety of booths from the football team’s sponsors and food and beverage companies.
