Osotspa Announces Proactive Plans Against COVID-19, Covering 5 Stakeholders

Osotspa PCL or OSP holds up proactive plans to join side by side with all five stakeholders, including consumers, business partners, employees, shareholders, as well as communities and society to cope with the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Mrs. Wannipa Bhakdibutr, President of Osotspa Public Company Limited, the leading manufacturer and distributor of consumer products in the country, revealed that "the heart of the business operations of Osotspa has always adhered to all 5 stakeholders, including consumers, business partners, employees, shareholders, as well as communities and societies. When coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has affected economy, way of life and consumer behavior, the company is ready to stand by all parties to overcome this situation with proactive plans to look after all stakeholders."
In this epidemic, consumers are in need of sanitary products. Therefore, as manufacturer of consumer products, Osotspa gives importance to the development of innovations to meet the needs of consumers as quickly as possible. Alcohol cleaning products are good example. Ole alcohol cleaning products are launched in two types, 500 ml alcohol hand washing gel and hand cleaning spray in portable size. Both of them have 70% alcohol and vitamins that keep skin moist. Another new product is Babi Mild Natural Hand Sanitizer Gel for mothers who need alcohol to clean hands for sensitive skin of their children. With Organic Aloe Vera extracts certified by the world-class ECOCERT®, this product is tender to baby skin. In addition, Osotspa created a campaign "M-Points Support Thai’s Fighting COVID-19.” Through this campaign, M-150 gives an opportunity to exchange M-points for COVID-19 insurance with maximum coverage of 100,000 baht or join forces to support medical personnel nationwide with the change of M-points as donation to hospitals.
The OSP President mentioned that Osotspa adheres to the safety of all shareholders through postponing the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders for the year 2020 from April 29, 2020 until the situation has returned to normal. However, Osotspa still confirms the payment of interim dividends from the 2019 operating results on April 24, 2020 at the rate of 0.65 baht per share as the company has informed shareholders via the Stock Exchange of Thailand earlier.
Furthermore, with leading digital solutions that help manage the supply chain, the company can analyze the situation, manage the entire network's inventory efficiently, as well as cope with changes in demand and supply in time. Also, the procurement of additional warehouses since the beginning of the outbreak enables the company to deliver products to partners and distributors as normal.
The company also has a plan to take care of our employees who have helped propel the company forward and overcome various obstacles. The company has established the COVID-19 Committee with the goal to protect our employees and businesses from the outbreak, which means all employees must be safe from COVID-19 and businesses must be able to move forward as normal. The committee members meet each morning to update the situation, plan and adjust the strategy to be up to date. One approach that has been used to look after the safety and welfare of employees and their families is having employees working from home since March 25. Through digital technology, including Microsoft 365, which Osotspa is one of the first adopters in Thailand, the company can maintain usual workflow.
Moreover, the agile working style allows employees to operate efficiently without any impact on the company's operations. They also work with worry-free as the company prepares medical benefits that cover illness from COVID-19.
For community and society, Osotspa has joined force with Thai people to overcome the COVID-19 crisis through the Osotspa Fighting for Thai Nation campaign that provides support and assistance to various sectors in coping with the outbreak of the virus. The company has delivered beverages and alcohol cleaning products total value of 23 million baht to hospitals nationwide to support and encourage medical personnel. At the same time, M-150 team has traveled along with beverage products to help fighting in COVID-19 mission together with officials from various departments that have worked vigorously day and night. The team has continuously been joining the mission since March. They have been joining the Big Cleaning Mission with the Royal Thai Army, volunteers and Bangkok officials in cleaning and disinfecting various public areas in Bangkok, and provided buckets with beverage products to help boost energy and encouragement for staff working at the COVID-19 screening point. The company also distributed alcohol cleaning gel to the communities surrounding the factory.
This fight with Covid-19 is an opportunity for organizations to test the effectiveness in changing strategy and coping with change. Osotspa is confident that with the strong spirit and united power of all parties, Thai people will have strength to overcome this crisis together in the near future.
