Osotspa Declares Interim Dividend Payment of 0.45 Baht per Share, Sales Revenue of 6,913 Million Baht and Net Profit of 820 Million Baht in the Second Quarter While Empowering Thais to Overcome COVID-19

Osotspa Public Company Limited (OSP) declares sales revenue of 6,913 million baht and a net profit of 820 million baht in 2Q/2021 after recording growth in international markets, especially in the CLMV region. The company firmly retained its leadership position in the energy drink and functional drink market domestically. It also announces an interim dividend payment at the rate of 0.45 baht per share to pay returns to shareholders. Also, the Company continues empowering Thais to fight against COVID-19 by providing supports to medical personnel, hospitals, volunteers and communities.
Mrs. Wannipa Bhakdibutr, Chief Executive Officer of Osotspa Public Company Limited or OSP, Thailand's leading consumer products manufacturer and distributor, revealed that despite the COVID-19-provoked economic challenges and decreasing purchasing power, the Company closed out 2Q/2021 with a sales revenue of 6,913 million. The revenue increased by 17%, compared to the same period of last year, due to the growth in both domestic and international markets. CLMV is the key market that drives the growth of the international market to 76%. Together with business partners, Osotspa has delivered its beverages to a team of medical personnel on the duty of vaccination against COVID-19 and people who get vaccinated. The Company also delivered negative pressure isolation wheelchairs and products to 161bhospitals nationwide to help Thais overcome this crisis together.
In the domestic market, OSP reinforces its leadership in the energy drink market with a market share of 55%. The M-150 brand maintains the No. 1 position. The launch of Lipo-Fine, introducing a new segment -- “Energy drink for women” in Thailand, is Lipo’s major brand movement in 22 years. Som In Sum continues growing as its herbal ingredients well respond to the current market trends. The functional drinks continue to grow with a 37% share, up from the previous quarter, after launching new products that meet changing consumer demand and behavior, such as the 1-liter-size C-vitt product for regular household consumption and 'C-vitt Plus', a vitamin C drink with collagen. In addition, the Company recognizes the revenues from distributing Yanhee vitamin water, which has highly increasing growth.
Moreover, the reopening of the glass bottle machine last quarter, the better distribution channel mix and the continuous Fit Fast Firm cost management project contribute to an increase of gross margin from last year and last quarter. The Company gained the first-half-year net profit of 1,824 million baht, an increase of 5% from the same period last year.
As the operating results were in accordance with the plan, the Board of Directors has approved the payment of an interim dividend from the first half of the year 2021 at the rate of 0.45 baht per share, totaling 1,352 million baht. The record date to entitle rightful shareholders who may receive the dividend will be on 25 August 2021 and the dividend payment will be on 10 September 2021.

Furthermore, Osotspa has supported immunization for Thai people, communities and the nation. Osotspa has joined hand with business partners, including House Osotspa Foods Co., Ltd., Osotspa Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Yanhee Vitamin Water Co., Ltd., to deliver over 2 million bottles of healthy drinks, such as C-vitt, vitamin C drinks, Yanhee Vitamin Water, Lipo and herbal drinks, such as Som In Sum Cordyceps Formula and M-150 with Black Galingale to a team of medical personnel on the duty of vaccination against COVID-19 and people who get vaccinated at 25 service points under the Board of Trade of Thailand across Bangkok. The Company also delivered products to 161 hospitals all over the country. Moreover, Osotspa developed a new medical equipment, in addition to the negative pressure isolation capsule, an essential equipment for treating COVID-19 patients that the company has developed in 2020 to help limit the spread of virus and reduce the exposure to healthcare workers. This year, Osotspa's engineering team designed and developed negative pressure isolation wheelchairs for the safety and flexibility in transporting patients inside a hospital. Osotspa donated 6 negative pressure isolation capsules and 18 negative pressure isolation wheelchairs, worth more than 4.8 million baht to 16 hospitals in Bangkok, Samut Prakan Province, Ayutthaya Province and Saraburi Province.
