Osotspa Declares Interim Dividend Payment of 0.45 Baht per Share, Sales Revenue of 7,184 Million Baht, C-Vitt’s All-Time High Record, and Continuing Growth of Domestic Beverages and Personal Care Products, Setting to Launch New Products to Cash in on Market Recovery in Second Half

Osotspa Public Company Limited (OSP) showed second-quarter revenue growth of 3.9% to top 7,184 million Baht, buoyed by continuing growth of the beverage business abroad, the functional drinks and the turnaround of the personal care market. Continuing its leadership position in Thailand’s energy drinks and functional drinks markets, the Company sets to launch new products to cash in on market recovery. The Company also declares an interim dividend payment of 0.45 Baht per share.
Mrs. Wannipa Bhakdibutr, Chief Executive Officer of Osotspa Public Company Limited, Thailand's leading consumer products manufacturer and distributor, revealed that the Company recorded revenues of 7,184 million baht, in the April-June 2022 period, an increase of 3.9%, compared to the same period of last year, while posting 604 million baht in net profit that was depressed by higher raw material costs and marketing expenditures for new products. The Company continued its leadership position in both energy drinks and functional drinks markets. C-vitt continued to break sales records, capturing a market share of 40.1% in the sector. Its personal care products under the brands Babi Mild, Twelve Plus and Exit showed an outstanding 23.5% rebound in domestic sales. The company is poised to introduce new products to expand its customer base to cash in on the market recovery as consumers are resuming a normal life and returning to active spending.
“We expect to see our overall business in the second half of this year growing as planned, as a result of the adjustment of our strategy to expand products portfolio and strengthen distribution network. The M-150 Terpene Flavour has been well received by consumers for it being the first energy drink with Terpene which answers to those who work long, stressful hours, feel exhausted and have negative emotions. It allows them to rejuvenate, refresh and regain energy to continue with their works with unlimited fighting spirit. In addition, Osotspa's gross profit in the second half of the year is projected to increase due to the revamped strategy and efficiency improvement in the production,” said Mrs. Wannipa.
The roll-out of new personal care products in the second half of the year will enable Osotspa to capture new consumer groups, driving the growth in this product portfolio that is being supported by the improving shopping atmosphere following the recovery of modern trade. For instance, the Babi Mild brand is extended to the adult consumers with the introduction of Ultra Mild by Babi Mild brand to respond to the demands of consumers who appreciate the gentleness of the original product, the inclusion of main components derived from natural plants, organic Chamomile essence and the delicate fragrance that is unique to the brand and gives them an evocative sense of childhood. With the new formula specially developed for adult consumers, the adult version of the Babi Mild has a wide range of products -- fabric softeners, shower creams, and dishwashing liquid. Meanwhile, the women's beauty brand Twelve Plus has come up with a product line with hemp seed oil in the form of roll-on and perfume. Adding to the popularity of Twelve Plus London Pear perfume, an innovation that offers counter brand fragrance at affordable price, the brand introduced the new roll-on with London Pear scent.
Osotspa's board of directors, on 10 August 2022, resolved to propose a dividend payment of 0.45 baht per share from the first half of this year, for a total of 1,352 million baht in overall payment. The record date to entitle rightful shareholders who may receive the dividend will be on 25 August 2022 and the dividend payment will be on 9 September 2022.
