Osotspa Welcomes Stock Exchange of Thailand along with 10 Partners, and Showcases Sustainable Glass Bottle Recycling to Push Forward “Care the Whale – Invisible Glass Bottle” Campaign

Mr. Nukit Chonlacoop, Chief Manufacturing Officer, Dr. Viwat Krisdhasima, Chief Supply Chain and Digital Officer, and Mrs. Sutida Siamharn, Head of Corporate Communication and CSR of Osotspa Public Company Limited, welcomed the management from the Stock Exchange of Thailand along with representatives from 10 partners of the “Care the Whale” project. This visit aims to study Osotspa’s complete waste glass bottle recycling process, from sorting waste glass bottles for the recycling process to remelting the cullet to be made into new containers. On this occasion, the guests were invited to visit the beverage mixing and filling plant in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, which is Osotspa’s biggest manufacturing base that offers a complete product manufacturing cycle. Additionally, to reduce the environmental effects associated with the production process, the facility features a product distribution hub and a smart inventory powered by cutting-edge and eco-centric technologies and operates under the ESG framework. Therefore, this visit is also a great opportunity for Osotspa to share the concept of sustainable organization development and environmental management which will be beneficial to other companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
The “Invisible Glass Bottle” initiative is part of the waste glass bottle management under the “Care the Whale” project which aims to build a sustainable society by raising awareness about waste sorting among organizations and their surrounding communities, and cultivating positive behaviors that will lead people to bring waste glass bottles back into the recycling process. This will eventually pave the way to sustainable waste management. In addition, the waste glass bottles collected by every organization will be turned into Osotspa’s products and given back to help society. The value of the given products is calculated by contributing 1 baht for every 1 kg of the waste glass bottles collected. On this occasion, for the public benefit, Osotspa has offered the contributed products which came from the total amount of waste glass bottles collected in 2022 to the representatives from the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
“Together with the 10 partners who share the same vision of enforcing efficient resource management to sustainably minimize environmental impacts, Osotspa is very proud to help advance the "Care the Whale - Invisible Glass Bottle" project. Throughout 2022, we have accumulated up to 8,000 kg of used glass bottles to be taken back into the recycling process. This year, we plan to expand our project to include new partners and collect an additional 15,00 kg of waste glass bottles so we can work together to protect our environment and establish one big, sustainable community for everyone,” said Mrs. Sutida.
