Osotspa transformed the "Kilane" brand on the occasion of its 132nd anniversary by repackaging with an exquisite contemporary modern vintage design that retains the nature and identity of the Kilane brand, produce from the knowledge of Thai-Chinese herbal medicine with benefits that sustainably enhance life for over a hundred years. The Brand revealed its new packaging design for the first time amidst a beautiful garden in the ancient Chinese atmosphere of Hong Sieng Kong cafe with a special drinks and snacks menu inspired by herbs and products of the Kilane brand at the Kilane Crimson Garden event.
Kilane brand products were considered products in the early days of Osotspa since starting the business under "Tek Heng Yu" pharmacy in Sampeng area. Through knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, it has developed various herbal medicines, including Krisnaklan as the first product which helps treat diarrhea and abdominal pain effectively. Therefore, the product became widely known and was used during the maneuvers of Operation Scout, as well as mentioned in the royal writing "Gun Puay" by King Rama VI. From then until now, “Krisnaklan, Kilane Brand” still stands by Thai people together with other holistic treatment herbal products and a unique herbal combination that has been developed under the Kilane brand such as Botan, Yathad 4, Utaitip and Tamjai, etc.
To celebrate the 132nd anniversary, Osotsapa has renewed Kilane packaging design to pass on the legend of valuable Thai-Chinese herbs with looks that better fit the younger generation. The new design of both logo and packaging was created by "Khun Yoon - Phannapast Taychamaythakool ", a world-renowned Thai contemporary artist, in a modern vintage style that fits in the current era to be recognized by the younger generation. Nevertheless, it still retains the original identity for consumers to experience and sense the value of Thai Chinese herbal medicine that has sustainably enhanced lives for over a hundred years. The new design has been revealed for the first time at the Kilane Crimson Garden event allowing visitors to experience the value of herbal wisdom for sustainable good health. The event has transformed "Hong Siang Kong", a hip cafe along the Chao Phraya River, into a land of powerful red natural herb gardens decorated in a modern vintage style with a mixture of Thai and ancient Chinese cultural arts. Each decoration design is based on the symbol of "Kilane”, a peony, and various patterns of plants as its key component reflecting the Thai-Chinese herbal medicine products of the Kilane brand. One of the decorations is a large Kilane made from brightly colored flowers as a landmark that symbolizes fertility.
Another special highlight at the event was special desserts and drinks inspired by Kilane brand products created by a beautiful and talented chef, "Paope - Jessica Wang". The menus offer a truly authentic herbal experience, such as Utaitip Jasmine Rose Milk Tea, Botan Chocolate Milk, Spiced Tea Soda that contains cloves and cinnamon - the main ingredient of the Krisnaklan, Yuzu Ginger Soda, a drink with a hint of ginger which is the main ingredient of the Yathad 4 and fortune cookies in jumbo size served with an amazing dipping sauce that perfectly combines the strengths of Uthaithip, Yathad 4, Krisnaklan and Botan.
The Kilane Crimson Garden has attracted a lot of attention from young people, who are interested in art, health, and sustainable self-care with products that do not adversely affect their health in the long run which can both prevent and treat them.
